We looked around a lot of nurseries and it was important to us to find somewhere that was warm and focused on the wellbeing of the child, not just getting them ready for school.
Banstead Bunnies really understand child development and the importance of learning and connecting through play. They tailor activities to the children’s interests and are so flexible if your little one takes some time to transition to the new setting, offering extra support, shorter sessions, cuddles and lots of care, plus text updates to reassure parents feeling a bit wobbly!
Communication is great, from photos and info uploaded onto an app, weekly email updates on all the activities that are available that week and quick replies if you ever have a query.
As it’s in a church hall, the space might not be as glossy as a purpose built building but the activities on offer are great and they have an outdoor space that is available every day plus a great woodland area behind. They also feel really like they are part of the local community rather than a corporate business chain like some nurseries do.
Jo and the team at Banstead Bunnies are so friendly and most importantly, I feel they really care. I’ve been into lots of schools and nurseries and you often just get a ‘feeling’ that somewhere is a good place with good people! It’s hard leaving your little one with strangers at first but the level of communication beforehand made me feel comfortable and those strangers now feel more like family friends.
Banstead Bunnies have been nothing short of amazing for our son. The team are warm, caring, and create such a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment where children learn through play. The range of extra activities they offer including Boogie Beats, Playball, and outdoor woodland learning have been fantastic.
Jo, in particular has been an amazing support throughout our son’s journey. We cannot thank her enough for the countless extra hours, care, and dedication she has given to ensure he has the very best start as he prepares for primary school in September. The teams commitment and support have meant so much to our family, and we will always be incredibly grateful.
Banstead bunnies provides a happy and safe environment for children to thrive. The staff are professional, experienced and are always there for a cuddle or reassurance. Jo is driven to ensure the children have the best experiences through creative learning and play. My daughter has been at Banstead bunnies for almost 2 years now and her confidence has grown incredibly since she started, I believe this is down to Jo and her team.

I feel completely at ease leaving my child in their capable hands and knowing he will have a great time.
I have seen such a huge improvement in my son since starting at Bunnies. His speech and imaginative play has improved so quickly. He loves to be outside so having an outside area set up each day is perfect! Also an added bonus of the forest behind Bunnies where they go to climb and hunt for bugs, leaves and sticks.
The daily and weekly communication is amazing both through the app and over email. I especially love the daily photos that we receive.

I am so happy with Banstead Bunnies Preschool. After a difficult experience at a previous nursery, my son struggled at first—but thanks to the kind, patient, and caring staff, he has settled in beautifully and now truly enjoys his time there.He now can’t wait to go in each morning and see his friends, which is just so lovely to see.

A fantastic pre-school. I am so pleased we decided to send our daughter here. Jo and the team are so kind and caring and the provision they provide is outstanding. My daughter comes bouncing out every day, full of stories about the exciting activities they have done. There are a wide variety of tasks which I have seen first hand when we are welcomed in at drop off that stimulate the children in all areas of their learning. The children have the opportunity for lots of extra enrichment, including Boogie Beats, Playball and outdoor learning in the woods around the hall. I cannot recommend Banstead Bunnies enough.
Banstead Bunnies have been amazing taking on our little boy who has recently been diagnosed with ASD. They have fully supported him and tailored hours and days to suit him as well as giving him extra settling in sessions with his dad present to allow him to settle at his own pace. Jo has been particularly amazing in helping us through our son’s recent diagnosis and putting extra support in place for him. The place provides a perfect balance of a nurturing learning environment with a fun and free flowing focus on child led play and exploration. My daughter particularly loves the outside learning areas and mobile farm visits. I would highly recommend Banstead Bunnies as a very good quality preschool and a great stepping stone to starting school.
Children thrive in this welcoming setting where they feel happy and safe. Staff are kind, caring and attentive. They get to know children well. This helps to promote children’s emotional well-being. There are high expectations for children’s behaviour. Children join in with the good range of opportunities and experiences on offer.
Children show an eagerness to learn, which prepares them well for future learning. All children make good progress from their starting points, including those who receive funded education and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
