Our Curriculum

Our imaginative curriculum is designed to support children’s development both now and as they move beyond the early years. Inspired by The Curiosity Approach, we encourage children to ask questions, explore possibilities, and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences that support deeper learning.

Our approach is strengthened by committed professional development, reflective pedagogy, and strong links with our community. Together, these shape a holistic curriculum that supports every aspect of a child’s growth.

Muddy Bunnies Outdoor Learning

We provide Outdoor Learning at our setting, giving children a chance to navigate the natural world around them. Children develop their assessment of risks and how to explore their surroundings safely, learning a variety of outdoor skills whilst enjoying the benefits of nature.

Banstead Bunnies has been a warm and welcoming environment from the moment that my 2 year old son started. The team were very flexible when they first welcomed him and offered as many settling in sessions as needed. This included the offer of a home visit so that he felt safe and familiar with his surroundings. The team and the learning environment are well organised. Parents are given weekly updates about the learning and activities that the children will be taking part in the following week. This has been really helpful as I have been able to talk to my child about what he has been doing through the day. We especially love the regular pictures that we get sent via Baby’s Days and always look forward to seeing how happy he looks! Great team and great environment!

We are extremely grateful for the experience that our son has had at Banstead Bunnies. Jo and her wonderful team have created a safe, fun and stimulating environment. They really take the time to get to know each child individually to ensure that activities are set up to cater for their personalities and needs.
I have seen such a huge improvement in my son since starting at Bunnies. His speech and imaginative play has improved so quickly. He loves to be outside so having an outside area set up each day is perfect! Also an added bonus of the forest behind Bunnies where they go to climb and hunt for bugs, leaves and sticks.

The daily and weekly communication is amazing both through the app and over email. I especially love the daily photos that we receive.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of pre-school and couldn’t recommend Bunnies highly enough to all families!

I’d like to say that I am happy with Banstead Bunnies for supporting me and my son the past year and that they have provided him with a caring, social, educational, creative environment. Since starting at Bunnies in Sept, our little boy hasn’t stopped telling us how much he loves going and always looks forward to his sessions. From learning out in the woods, getting excited about taking his cuddly to a teddy bears picnic and always being so proud of earning his little helper badges and certificates, he couldn’t seem happier. As for us, we have always found all of the team friendly, approachable, and endlessly enthusiastic.
It puts your mind at ease to be able to send your little one off in the morning and know that they feel comfortable and are excited about where they are going to spend their day!

Banstead Bunnies has provided both my children with an absolutely wonderful start to their preschool learning. My son started 4 years ago and although he is now at school, he still talks about his time there and has remained firm friends with many of his preschool buddies. My daughter currently attends Banstead Bunnies and she also loves going and really enjoys the wide variety of activities and play opportunities on offer throughout her sessions.
The place provides a perfect balance of a nurturing learning environment with a fun and free flowing focus on child led play and exploration. My daughter particularly loves the outside learning areas and mobile farm visits. I would highly recommend Banstead Bunnies as a very good quality preschool and a great stepping stone to starting school.

There are high expectations for children’s behaviour. Children join in with the good range of opportunities and experiences on offer.
